following options and choose the one depending on your
system. If you are using Arabic Windows 95 Microsoft Arabic Internet Explorer 3.02 is a good choice for you if you are looking for an Arabic browsing option. It dose not support Arabic chat or e-mail. Currently our pages are designed to be best viewed using this browser. Sindbad Arabization tool form Sakhr (The leading Arabic software company) can be used with either Netscape Navigator 3.0 or 3.01. It has a lot of advantages over Arabic Microsoft Explorer, such as Arabic e-mail and Arabic chat. You can download the latest version of this promising software form http://www.sakhr.com for FREE. If you are using non-Arabic Windows 95 Sindbad add-on is the best option for this configuration. It can be used with either Netscape Navigator 3.0 or 3.1 Try out the latest FREE version of this promising software from http://www.sakhr.com. Alis' Tango Browser 2.5 or 3.0 is another option to read in Arabic on non-Arabic windows systems. You have to read the notes below for more details about this option and its limitations. If you are using Arabic Windows 3.x Alis' Tango Browser 2.5 or 3.0 is the best option to read in Arabic on non-Arabic windows 3.x systems. You have to read the notes below for more details about this option and its limitations. Use Netscape 16 bit Navigator 3.01 but note that some text may be displayed incorrectly. Also you might need to read the following notes to configure the browser to display Arabic text. 1. Make sure you have the Arabic version of Mac OS, or the Latin version with the Arabic Language Kit. In the latter case, make sure that the active script is Arabic. 2. In the browser preferences (either Navigator, Communicator, IE) select the User Defined Encoding. You have also to select Arabic fonts for this encoding. This will enable you to view Arabic text that is compliant with the Arabic Macintosh Code Page. Before you download Cyberdog you have to install OpenDoc, the technology that Cyberdog is based on. OpenDoc is also free and downloadable from Apple sites. Using Cyberdog will enable you to view Arabic Web content no matter what the underlying encoding is. Important notes for Netscape users: If you cannot read Arabic pages, please follow these instructions: 1. Make sure that you are running your browser under Arabic Windows. 2. Run your browser, choose Arabic mode if you are using Sindbad and go to one of our Arabic pages. 3. From Netscape, Choose Options General Preferences Fonts. 4. Click the "Choose Font" button to change the default Proportional Font. 5. A Fonts Dialog box will appear, choose an Arabic font (such as Traditional Arabic or Transparent Arabic) from the list and choose a font size. 6. Click OK, the Font dialog box will disappear. 7. Click OK to save the changes . 8. Finally, please change to User-Defined encoding from the View pull-down menu (or from the Options menu in Navigator 3.x) to see your changes take effect (the dont's you specified earlier should also be for User-Defined, not Western fonts). 9. Now You can read the Arabic pages. Important notes for Alis users: Please follow these steps in order to read in Arabic using this browser:: Run Tango browser. Go to any of our Arabic pages.. Choose LANGUAGE -- Character Sets from the main menu. Choose ARABIC to be the document language. A list of available Arabic character sets will be displayed to the right of the languages list. Choose Arabic windows-1256 from the list. Click SELECT , then APPLY. Again Choose LANGUAGE Choose PREFERENCES and let the Arabic be the Promote language. Click OK. Choose DIRECTION and select Direction to be Right To Left. Now , you can read the Arabic text !, but please note that : Text Displayed within tables will not look very good, while you still can read it. the same is true in many other cases. We assume that you have installed Tango browser probably, and you have chosen the Arabic support option. You are not able to see Java applets or run Java scripts .. |
